Amy Winehouse is no longer favourite to win the Mercury Music Prize next week, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.

The bookies now say Bat For Lashes's 'Fur And Gold' is the favourite for the award, which takes place on Tuesday (September 4).

Nick Weinberg Ladbrokes spokesman said: "Amy's had a difficult time of it lately, and that's coincided with backers deserting her."

'Back To Black' was previously joint favourite to win. Her odds are now 11/4, compared to 9/4 for Bat For Lashes.

Organisers say they still expect Winehouse to attend the show, reports BBC.
