Watch Amy Winehouse controversial MOBO performance now

Singer's awards ceremony performance criticised

Amy Winehouse gave a dishevelled and lacklustre performance at the Mobo Awards last night (September 19), shortly before she picked up her award for Best UK Female.

The singer swayed precariously on stage, fidgeting with her mini-dress and gazing distractedly to the side of the stage, whilst she struggled with the words to 'Tears Dry On Their Own' before mumbling through her version of 'Me And Mr Jones'.

Reports in The Sun today (September 20) claim the singer behaved erratically backstage too, at one point losing her temper at passers by.

The paper claims a source said: "In her dressing room she was really on edge, then flipped. She was screaming and chucking anything she could get her hands on at the people around her."

The footage of her Mobo performance can be watched below.

In light of the tabloid furore which has plagued last night's Mobo Awards, what are your thoughts on Winehouse's performance? Back to black? Or just another wino-shambles? Send us your views via news@nme.com with Winehouse as the subject.

I think this all sounds great, I think they are trying to make a story out of nothing after britney fucked up last week. Maybe the sound in such a big arena was not so good compared to the mercury awards, but its unfair to call it a disaster.
