Amy Winehouse's home raided by police

Officers smash open front door as singer's husband is arrested

Amy Winehouse had the front door to her home smashed in by police yesterday (November 9), before her husband was arrested.

Officers used a battering ram to enter the couple’s Camden home while they were not in residence.

However, the singer’s spouse Blake Fielder-Civil was later arrested in Bow, east London, in connection with an alleged plot to fix a trial.

The Daily Mirror reports that Winehouse watched in tears as police handcuffed her husband, claiming she was shouting to officers: "I want to go with him."

Winehouse’s mother-in-law Georgette Fielder-Civil later told the paper that the singer was totally distraught and too upset to talk.

It is claimed that Blake Fielder-Civil had been plotting to stop his and friend Michael Brown’s trial after they were accused of assaulting a barman and causing GBH with intent.

It is alleged that the pair were planning to pay the victim, James King, to withdraw his statement or take him abroad so the trial would collapse. However, police were apparently tipped off about the plot by the newspaper.

"A thorough investigation is being carried out into claims of conspiracy to pervert justice in connection with a trial, three men have been arrested and are being questioned. We're expecting to make further arrests," a police spokesperson explained yesterday, although they would not confirm whether or not Fielder-Civil was among those taken into custody.

It was only a matter of time before this would happen, didn't you see her at the EMA's? This girl has some serious issues, she needs to get help really bad and her loser of a husband isn't really making things a whole lot easier for her. I think the fact that Blake got arrested is good for her, it might wake her up from her coke haze and maybe kick some common sense into her. I just hate it when people's talents get wasted like this.
