Amy Winehouse and Kanye West are likely to lead the Grammy Award nominees, which will be announced in Los Angeles tomorrow (December 6).

Winehouse, who has come to be known as much for her unpredictable behaviour and alleged substance abuse as her music, will likely earn some major nominations for her 'Back To Black' album, according to industry insiders.

Grammy-winning producer John Shanks called Winehouse's album "an important record" and told the Associated Press, "I don't think her troubles are really going to hurt her. I think the sound of that album made an impact."

West is another big contender for major nominations. His latest album 'Graduation' sold nearly 1 million copies in its first week, making it the year's biggest US debut and spawning three hit singles.

Other artists predicted to receive Grammy nominations tomorrow are veterans Paul McCartney for 'Memory Almost Full', and Bruce Springsteen for 'Magic'.

Fergie, who will be one of tomorrow's nominee presenters, may also come away with several nominations for her hits 'Glamorous' and 'Big Girls Don't Cry'.

Beyonce is another favourite. Her hit 'Irreplaceable' could earn her nods for record and song of the year.
