Amy Winehouse 'has months to live' says husband

Blake Fielder-Civil speaks from behind bars about their drug addictions

Amy Winehouse’s jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil has spoken out about the couple’s descent into drug addiction.

Private letters from the singer’s husband to his family have been published in the News Of The World, as well as conversations with his “devoted” mother Georgette Fielder-Civil.

Fielder-Civil admits he lives in fear of waking up and hearing his wife has died from a drug overdose, and said: “Every day I fear the prison chaplain is going to walk into my cell and break the news that Amy is dead.”

Fielder-Civil also revealed that Winehouse is sometimes high on drugs when she comes to visit him in prison and regularly falls asleep during their meetings.

The 25 year-old warned his wife: “Quit smoking crack or you’ll be dead in three months.”

He also admitted he and Winehouse were blowing £500 a day on heroin and cocaine before he got jailed - but revealed he has now cleaned up his act since being locked up.

Fielder-Civil now wants Winehouse to do the same and said: “I'm disappointed that Amy has been taking crack and I'm pleased she got caught because at last she is going to get the help she deserves.

"I want Amy to grab this opportunity in rehab so we can have a marriage and future together. Because the way she's going I really fear I will come out of prison to no wife.”

Fielder-Civil also detailed their the couple’s problems with self-harm, before criticising his father-in-law, Mitch Winehouse.

“I hate Amy’s father, Mitch. My mother calls him the Fat Controller," he wrote. "He is on Amy’s payroll. What man takes money off his daughter? Mitch ought to be ashamed.”

Fielder-Civil is on remand currently in Pentonville prison awaiting trial over allegations of GBH and trial fixing.

Give me 5 minutes alone in a room with whoever is supplying her....

Which tone deaf tosser said she is not a danger to herself and cannot be committed? I'd like a private conversation with them too.

Come and stay with me Amy - I'll nurse you back to health like a mother should. Please sweet baby girl - please get well.
