Amy Winehouse makes huge leap on US chart

Singer's sales spike following Grammy wins

Amy Winehouse jumped to the Number Two spot from Number 24 on the US Billboard chart this week following her multiple Grammy Award wins last week.

The singer, who also performed via satellite at the Grammy Awards, sold 115,000 copies of her album 'Back To Black' this past week.

Album of the year winner Herbie Hancock also saw a huge sales spike for 'River: The Joni Letters', jumping from Number 159 to Number Five with a 967 percent sales increase.

However, neither album succeeded in unseating Jack Johnson from his Number One spot. The singer sold 180,000 copies of 'Sleep Through The Static', allowing him to hold on to the top position.

Alicia Keys, another Grammy performer, maintained her Number Three position on the chart with 'As I Am'. The '2008 Grammy Nominees' compilation rounded out the Top Five at Number Four.
