Amy Winehouse apologised today (June 9) for singing a racist slur-filled song, which was captured on video by her husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The singer reportedly told paparazzi outside her London home today that she was sorry, reports the Associated Press. She also denied that her singing of the song made her a racist.

"I don't want to play anything down, but I'm the least racist person going," Winehouse said.

The video, which appears to have been filmed quite some time ago, appeared on The News Of The World this weekend. It also shows the singer in a drug den surrounded by drug-taking paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, the troubled singer's husband admitted committing assault and perverting the course of justice in London today (June 9), as previously reported.

You are obviously not "the least racist person going" Amy. You might be the least racist person in your marriage, or perhaps in your kitchen, but those were certainly racist lyrics to your pathetic little song. Obviously you never expected anyone to see it, but that doesn't make it better - you homeless trannie look-a-like...Everybody... she's a racist, there is no excuse for that behaviour. she is not 'the least racist person going' either. there are plenty of people who have never said those terms and i think its an insult to them to claim that.

okay you guys that think amy winehouse is racist are obviously just trying to find more fault in someone except for yourselves. check yourselves out before you judge someone on a video appearance without even knowing them. second if you guys know anything about amy then you know that on her video from her song "Stronger Than Me" on her first album Frank she has a black guy in the video. He plays her drunken weak boyfriend. Amy has even been quoted saying she is just like a black girl in a white girl's body. Then last how could amy be racist and she is Jewish. Come on now, people hate Jews more than they hate blacks. Therefore, i doubt that she would be discriminating against anyone. Stop trying to hate on pure, rare talent. There is no and there will never be another Amy Winehouse. So let's celebrate her instead of critisize her.
