The pub owner accused of taking a bribe to drop assault charges against Amy Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has been acquitted.
James King was found not guilty by a British court today (June 25) and cleared of trying to pervert the course of justice.
King allegedly accepted a $400,000 bribe from Winehouse's husband and another man in exchange for dropping assault charges against them. King claimed he was an intimidated into doing so, reports the Associated Press.
This may not bode well for Fielder-Civil, who has been in jail since November and is due to be sentenced next month.
