Singer performs in Spain following controversial festival show

Amy Winehouse has made her first live appearance since allegedly punching a fan at the Glastonbury festival last Saturday night (June 28).

Winehouse performed at the Rock In Rio festival near Madrid yesterday (July 4) in front of what organisers claimed was 40,000 people, reports the Press Association.

Winehouse's set was bereft of the controversy that characterised her appearance at Worthy Farm a week earlier. See video footage of the Rock In Rio show by clicking on the video below.

Winehouse sipped red wine through the set, which included 'Rehab', 'You Know I'm No Good' 'Some Unholy War' and 'Valerie' by The Zutons, which she originally covered in collaboration with Mark Ronson.

The singer kicked off her stiletto shoes in favour of a pair of white moccasins during the show, then left the site in a helicopter following her performance.

Is there a name for a woman wanker? Amy Winehouse's band was fantastic, but I was embarrassed for them and those fabulous backing singers/dancers.She sang off key at least half the time, turned her good songs into floppy mulch and became one sad cliche'. Someone needs to explain to her last remaining, working brain cell, that it just aint so poetic, artistic, and cewl to be stoned out of your head, especially when your performance becomes so mediocre and lacking in charisma, energy, style. Amy stumbled around like a first year art school student trying desperately to be oh so weird, but all she proved is how darn unimaginative she has become, so dull and sadly, so boring.wake up stupid girl, or go away.

Cheers Mark Palmos for saying exactly what i've been saying for months now, since all this 'tortured soul' bollocks began. I don't understand why she's never searched by police when she's always off her face. If she was anyone else, i.e. someone not written about for having done an amazing album....almost 3 years ago now, she'd have been banged up + forgotten about. Why is it different for her? How can people still have sympathy for her? + as for her sham of a performance at the legend Nelson Mandel'a birthday do, how DARE she change a song depicting an absolute hero to an off-key ramble about someone who attacked an innocent out of malice causing a fractured cheekbone??? Why should he be freed???? Amy, please f!$k off.

She is in a lot of personal trouble. Is she an addict...yes. She will die if she doesn't clean up...yes but that kind of transformation doesn't happen over night. Her last few performances have been total shit I agree. I think it is sad that her people are forcing her to preform while she is in this state. Amy is a brilliant musician and if she were to die tomorrow we'd have a brilliant piece of music to remember her buy. Janis Joplin's "Pearl" anyone?

Totally with you, Mark and Gypsydreams. Love the music, hate the live performances... and I seem to have developed an irrational dislike for her - someone I don't even know.If we are being ruthless about it, everyone knows that where the guitarist may just about get away with such antics the lead vocalist cannot - which is what I was musing the other night when I caught some of her Glasto set: tragic.Someone so zonked must clearly have substance on their person at some point - why aren't they just caught and put away?

I am tired of hearing about Amy Winehouse. At first it was titalating, then it seems like the same old routine about "stars" acting mega outrageously as a matter of habit/lifestyle. I feel I am helping support her drug habit from every song I listen to from her. I think its time we supported other artists with our time and money.(instead of supporting Blake and Amy with coke) I suggest Enjay Gannon. Check him out at Rhapsody and I-tunes, among other places. What you get here is good honest stratocaster. You may not like all his stuff, (did you ever listen to ALL the trackes on some of your albums either?, be honest now) I think 3 of his works are smokin hot. They are Vervatious Verve, Standing Strong and Fret Cramp Blues, among others on the album called Stratastic. Anyway, thats all I have to say, I finally got it off my chest, so to speak.
