Amy Winehouse has been released from a London hospital after suffering what her spokesman called a "reaction" to prescribed medication.

Winehouse was rushed to University College Hospital in an ambulance on Monday night (July 28) after she apparently started having fits at her home in Camden, north London.

Commenting on her release from hospital, Winehouse's spokesperson Chris Goodman said: "She had a bit of a scare yesterday because of a reaction to treatment. She was kept in overnight purely for observation. Amy is at home now after leaving with her father and manager. She is having a rest."

In June, the singer was diagnosed with an emphysema-like condition during another stay in hospital.
