Amy Winehouse dedicates song to Blake at V Festival

Amy Winehouse played on the V Stage at the Chelmsford leg of the V Festival this evening (August 17), performing a drama-free set during which she dedicated a song to her incarcerated husband.

The jazz-pop singer arrived on stage just ten minutes late - improving on her 20 minute delay yesterday at the Staffordshire leg of the bash.

Winehouse was wearing a black and white dress and large artificial roses in her trademark beehive hair-do.

She played songs including 'Back To Black', 'Rehab' and her customary cover of The Zutons' 'Valerie'.

Winehouse said little between songs aside from greeting the crowd at the start of the set, which she opened with 'Addicted', and introducing her backing band. She did, however, dedicate 'Wake Up Alone' to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, simply announcing, "This is for my husband."

Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27 month jail sentence in Pentonville Prison in north London after being convicted for assault and perverting the course of justice.

Later in the set the supposedly-troubled singer blew kisses to the crow after playing her hit 'Rehab', during a well-received set that attracted a huge crowd at Hylands Park.

She ended her set with the aforementioned 'Valerie', which drew a loud sing-along from the Essex crowd.

The singer left the stage hugging a friend as the song ended whille her band played a brief instrumental outro.
