Amy Winehouse's husband seeking divorce

Blake Fielder-Civil seeking divorce based on adultery

Amy Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is seeking a divorce from the singer based on grounds of adultery.

Fielder-Civil's representative, Henri Brandman, released the news in a statement, reports BBC News.

The statement read: "I can confirm that I have been instructed to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery."

It was claimed in British tabloid newspapers that Winehouse was unfaithful to her husband while he was incarcerated for assault and perverting the course of justice.

Fielder-Civil has since been released to attend a drug rehab centre.

The couple married in 2007 in Miami.
