Amy Winehouse is to launch her own record company - and her first signing is her 13 year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.
The star is spending a reported £1 million to get the label, named Lioness, off the ground - and the first release will be Bromfield's debut album in March. The star also spent £15,000 to send Bromfield on an intensive month-long singing programme in Los Angeles.
Winehouse recently headed into the studio to collobarate on a handful of the tracks, and has also roped in Lady Gaga, Lemar and 2008 finalist on 'The X Factor', Eoghan Quigg, to record duets on the record.
The diva has also taken advice from 'The X Factor' judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, who have both been introduced to Bromfield.
Bromfield told the News Of The World: "I had a lot of record companies wanting to sign me but I didn't know where to go. So for Amy to set up this record company and make me her first signing means so much."
Winehouse recently flew Dionne to St Lucia in the Caribbean, where she is currently on an extended holiday, to plan the project.
