Amy Winehouse's boyfriend Reg Traviss has revealed the couple were planning to marry before her death in July.

The director said that although he and the late singer had not set a date, they were going to settle down together.

"Absolutely, we had talked about getting married," he told The Sunday Times. "It wasn't planned as in this date or that date, but it was a topic of conversation and had been for some time."

Traviss also said he found the unexpected loss of Winehouse "surreal", following her death. "What felt surreal was not the cameras and the craziness but losing somebody, just like that. One minute I was speaking to her, the next she was gone," he said. "You might say we were halfway through a conversation in our life together and then, suddenly, she disappeared."

Tony Bennett recently revealed that Winehouse knew that she was in trouble and was not going to live.
