Amy Winehouse's father Mitch will perform after a charity boxing match in aid of Cancer Research UK at London's Proud2 on October 22.

He has announced that he plans to donate his entire fee to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up in memory of his daughter, who died earlier this year.

The charity brawl earlier in the evening will see 6'3" former world heavyweight world champion Tim 'Terrible' Witherspoon square up to 5'10" football coach Jim Hemmings – who has no previous boxing experience – in the ring. And former professional light welterweight Georgie Smith will fight Lee Macdonald, best known for his role as Zammo in Grange Hill.

Winehouse, who will be performing tracks from his album 'Rush Of Love', has said he made the decision to create the Amy Winehouse Foundation – which was launched on September 14, what would have been her 28th birthday - when news of her death broke.

He said:

I was in New York with my cousin Michael when I heard and straight away I said I wanted an Amy Winehouse Foundation, something to help the things she loved – children, horses, but also to help those struggling with substance abuse.

General admission tickets for the whole event will be £20 with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. Entry is free after 11pm when the boxing is finished, but donations are strongly encouraged.
