Work-in-progress images of the Amy Winehouse statue set to be erected in Camden has been revealed by artist Scott Eaton.

Revealed as part of the planning application proposal handed to Camden Council, Eaton's maquette depicts Winehouse leaning on a wall. Writing on his website, Eaton reveals that, "The memorial is planned as a life-sized bronze to be installed on the first floor terrace of the Roundhouse in Camden." He adds: "In my opinion it is a little early to be sharing these images given that there is a lot of sculpting still to do, but the planning application is now public and they are in the news."

Speaking in November 2012, Amy's father Mitch Winehouse said that the statue will be unveiled alongside a concert which will take place on September 14, 2014, on would have been the star's 31st birthday. Speaking at the time, he said: "September 14, 2014 at the Roundhouse in Camden Town, we'll be unveiling Amy's statue...[It] will be accompanied by a concert. So far, the support from stars has been incredible. He added that the show will be a huge production: "We want to make it like a Live Aid type concert where we get maybe four, five, six hours' worth. People doing a couple of songs each. Obviously that involves a lot of people."

Amy Winehouse is also set to be honoured when Camden's new Walk of Fame opens later this year. The north London region is to twin with Hollywood and lay down 30 discs honouring international musical figures this summer. Additional discs will be laid in September, when the long-awaited Amy Winehouse statue is unveiled in 2014. All acts set to be honoured will be divided into the following categories: innovative artists, influential artists, icons, unsung heroes and industry figures.
