ANASTACIA FIGHTS CANCER

The 29-year-old star is diagnosed as having breast cancer...

Anastacia has been diagnosed with breast cancer, according to press reports.

The Chicago-born millionaire singer, who also has the bowel condition Crohn's disease, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the weekend, The Sun reports (January 21).

The 29-year-old, who has sold over five million records in her three-year career, after shooting to fame in the UK with Top 10 hit 'I'm Outta Love', is said to be in the early stages, and doctors are hopeful she will beat the cancer with surgery and chemotherapy.

She is expected to continue with work commitments this week, including filming a new video.

Gary Farrow, Vice-President of her UK label Sony, said: "Anyone who knows Anastacia knows she's a fighter. She was diagnosed at the weekend and they have caught it early, so it's business as usual. She has commitments this week including filming her new video. Then she will have to address these issues full on. She's aware she will have to have surgery."
