New Yorker heading to the UK as a 'motivational public speaker'

Andrew WK has announced his first visit to the UK in four years - but he's not going to be playing any conventional gigs.

The 'Party Hard' singer, an NME cover star in 2001, is set to give a one-off, stream of consciousness talk to an intimate audience at London's Madame JoJo's on September 19.

Previous performances have seen WK philosophise on everything from "partying hard and living without regret to self-help".

However, his speeches are rarely planned - not even WK himself knows for sure what he's going to talk about before he gets on stage.

WK has previously given talks at Yale University, New York University and Austin's South By South West festival.
