Animal Collective were joined on stage at the Bonaroo festival in America by Police Academy actor and special effects voice artist Michael Winslow at the.

The band were joined on stage by Winslow, who played Larvelle Jones in all seven Police Academy movies, as part of a unique collaboration scheme at the festival which also saw R Kelly perform with Billy Idol and Solange joined on stage to jam with Ghostface Killah of Wu Tang Clan. Posting a picture of themselves on Instagram alongside Winslow, Animal Collective wrote "Michael Winslow jammed on stage with us at Bonaroo last night. We got the bleeps, the sweeps and the creeps". Bonaroo took place in Manchester, Tennessee between June 13-16 with headline performances from Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Björk. Jack Johnson replaced Mumford & Sons on the line-up after the folk band were forced to cancel their headline slot following bass player Ted Dwane's recent illness. Other artists performing across the weekend included The National, The xx, Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala.

R Kelly was joined by Jim James of My Morning Jacket for his collaborative performance, with Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes also making an appearance. It was recently reported that the R&B singer is looking to record a country music album in an attempt to prove that he has a talent that's "more than just sexual songs".
