Norwegian singer returns with 'Back Together' produced by Richard X and co-written with Little Boots

Annie announces 'A&R' EP will be released in August - listen
Annie has announced she will release a new EP, 'A&R', on August 5.

The five-track release has been produced by Richard X, while the lead track, 'Back Together' was co-written with Little Boots. You can listen to the track here. Other tracks are 'Hold On', 'Ralph Macchio', which is all about the innocence of her first crush on the Karate Kid actor, replaying on a VHS loop, 'Invisible' and 'Mixed Emotions'.

It's only the Norwegian singer's second release since her 2009 album 'Don't Stop'. Earlier this year she debuted the track 'Tube Stops And Lonely Hearts', which you can watch below, while she featured on 'Take A Look At The World', a Royksopp-produced collaboration with Ralph Myerz.

'Back Together' isn't the first time Annie has worked with Richard X, who has also produced the likes of Kelis and Sugababes. The pair collaborated on Annie's second album 'Don't Stop', which also featured production from Xenomania and Paul Epworth. The album, the release of which was delayed for more than a year, was the follow-up to Annie's well-received 2004 debut 'Anniemal', which spawned the single 'Chewing Gum'.

In 2010, it was reported on the blog of production outfit Xenomania that Annie was back in the studio recording the follow up to 'Don't Stop' but a full album has yet to materialise. Of the new EP, Annie said: "It makes more sense in this 'do what you want, when you want world'. I'm like a virus."
