Anthrax's Scott Ian to be replaced by Sepultura man for Sonisphere
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian will miss the band's UK show at Sonisphere Festival in July.

The guitarist will miss the thrash metallers European dates from July 2-16 as his wife is expecting their first child.

Ian confirmed the news on Anthrax.com, where it was announced that Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser will be playing in his absence.

He said of Kisser: "We chose Andreas because we feel he can do the gig better than anyone. He has the fire, the attitude, and the crushing right hand to do the gig."

Ian also confirmed that Anthrax will release their tenth studio album this year. "From the tracks I have heard, it is going to tear your fucking heads off," he said.

Anthrax play Sonisphere Festival on July 8 at Knebworth Park alongside Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer.
