Antony and the Johnsons
Singer to auction off new creation
Antony & the Johnsons singer Antony Hegarty has designed a one of a kind collection piece, due to be auctioned on EBay USA in February.
The designed dress is set to raise proceeds for the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an American grassroots organisation that fights for the rights of all people to self determine gender identity and expression.
The dress is produced by YOOX.COM, and will be listed on eBay.com from February 14.
The dress, evoking a silk kimono, is the first in a series of future projects that will be developed with other musicians.
The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are coming soon – and it’s time to have your say. Vote now by heading to NME.COM/awardsvote and you could win VIP tickets to the ceremony, which takes place in London on February 28.
