[b]Rene Dif[/b] is crippled by severe back pain while the group undertake a promotional tour...

Aqua frontman RENE DIF was taken to hospital suffering from severe back pain while the group were on promotional duties in INDONESIA this week.

Dif was hit by the trouble on Monday (June 19) and was taken to hospital in Jakarta for scans. Doctors ordered him to rest, and after being discharged he has spent the rest of the week resting at his hotel.

He will return to Europe this weekend where his is to consult a physiotherapist, but according to Aqua's fan site www.aqua.dk he will be unable to indulge in his usual energetic on-stage antics for "a little while".

Their live performances for the remainder of their promotional tour of Indonesia, which was supposed to end on Sunday, have been cancelled, but Lene Nystrom will continue with press and TV interviews alone.
