Win Butler prepares for North American tour
Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler said he is "recovering nicely" from his recent illness, which caused his band to cancel several European shows.
In a note posted on Arcade Fire's website, Butler revealed that his surgery was a success and he's on the road to recovery.
Butler wrote: "Just wanted to let you all know that the surgery was successful, and I am recovering nicely. Thank you for all of your thoughts and emails.
"I will probably start singing again this week some time to try and get ready for the shows in North America," he continued.
"It has been a blessing in disguise to be forced to stay home and read, and sleep (pick up Cormac MCarthy's 'The Road' if you are feeling like a little post apocalypse...don't let the Oprah Book Club sticker scare you away). Regine (Chassagne) and I have even started working on some new songs."
As previously reported, Arcade Fire are set to kick off their North American tour in San Diego, California next week in support of their latest album, 'Neon Bible'.
