Canadians pay tribute to British indie band

Arcade Fire paid tribute to British band Clinic by covering one of their songs at their concert in Portland earlier this week.

The Canadian band performed a version of ‘Distortions’, which appeared on Clinic’s 2000 debut album ‘Internal Wrangler’. Arcade Fire’s version has already been posted online and can be seen below.

The gig at the Schnitzer Concert Hall (May 27) was the band’s first date after a short break. The set included a host of songs from Arcade Fire’s two albums ‘Funeral’ and ‘Neon Bible’ as well as the cover.

The set was:

‘Keep the Car Running’
‘No Cars Go’
‘Haiti’
‘Neighborhood #2 (Laika)’
‘Black Mirror’
‘Neon Bible’
‘Distortions’
‘In the Backseat’
‘Intervention’
‘(Antichrist Television Blues)’
‘Ocean Of Noise’
‘Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)’
‘The Well And The Lighthouse’
‘Neighborhood # 3 (Power Out)’
‘Rebellion (Lies)’
‘My Body Is A Cage’
‘Wake Up’

Arcade Fire return to the UK to play Glastonbury next month – they perform on the Other Stage on Friday, June 22.
