Arcade Fire and Spike Jonze team up for film collaboration

Band and directpr are working together in Austin, Texas

Canadians Arcade Fire are up for Best International Band, Best International Live Act, Best International Album (for 'Neon Bible') and Best International Track (for 'Intervention').
Arcade Fire are working on a new film with director Spike Jonze.

Jonze, who used the band's 'Wake Up' on his 2009 film Where The Wild Things Are, is casting for the film in Austin, Texas.

His spokesperson confirmed that the project was definitely happening, telling MTV News: "Spike will be in Austin shooting a short film which is a collaboration with Arcade Fire."

Movie blog /Film quotes a source as saying that the project is about "friends growing apart", and that it is set to be a short movie.

Last month, Arcade Fire confirmed to NME.COM that they will be premiering their new album during their headline appearance at this August's Reading And Leeds Festivals.
