Arcade Fire's Will Butler is set to give a lecture at his old university.
The multi-instrumentalist is addressing the Northwestern University in Chicago on November 2.
Butler is set to talk about how he has blended a career in music with social activism at the institution's Center For Civic Engagement, according to student website Northbynorthwestern.com.
According to organisers it is possible Butler "might treat students to an impromptu performance, but nothing is planned yet".
Butler majored in poetry and creative writing while at Northwestern University, where he also was a radio DJ and editor of the literary magazine Helicon.
