Arcade Fire are on course to top this weekend's Official UK album chart with their new album 'Reflektor'.

This week's NME cover stars are currently outselling Katy Perry's LP 'Prism', which is currently sitting at the summit, by three copies to one, according to the Official Charts Company. Elsewhere, Lorde, who topped the Official UK singles chart on Sunday (October 29) with 'Royals', is at Number Four with her debut album 'Pure Heroine'.

Meanwhile, Lou Reed's David Bowie and Mick Ronson-produced 1973 breakthrough album, 'Transformer', has re-entered the Top 40 at Number 24 today (October 30) following his death at the weekend. The late Velvet Underground singer's tracks 'Perfect Day' and 'Walk On The Wild Side' are at 36 and 39 in the singles chart. Should it maintain its current momentum, this will be the first time the original version of 'Perfect Day' has appeared in the Top 40 despite the fact a re-recorded version of the track, released in aid of the BBC’s Children In Need, went to Number One in 1997.

Elsewhere in the singles chart, Fatboy Slim is battling it out with One Direction for the top spot with his reworked version of his track 'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat'. The song, which has been remixed by Calvin Harris and also features Riva Starr and Beardyman, is poised to become Norman Cook's first Top 10 hit since his 2001 double A-side 'Star 69'/'Weapon Of Choice'. It is currently trailing 1D's 'Story Of My Life' by only 4,000 copies. Eminem and Rihanna's latest collaboration has also shot straight in at Number Nine.

Check back this Sunday (November 3) on NME.COM to see if Arcade Fire take the top spot. You can read more about Arcade Fire in this week's NME which is available digitally and on newsstands now.
