Arcade Firep began their world tour last night at the New Zealand leg of Big Day Out festival in Auckland.

Headlining the festival, which moves on to the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, they played a setlist made up of older material plus new songs, unlike the 'Reflektor'-heavy shows they played around the time of the album's release last year.

Among the set in Auckland were 'Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels)' 'Haiti', 'Rebellion (Lies)', 'Wake Up' and a number from 2010's 'The Suburbs'.

Arcade Fire played:

'Ready to Start'
'Flashbulb Eyes'
'Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)'
'Joan of Arc'
'The Suburbs'
'The Suburbs (Continued)'
'Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)'
'Afterlife'
'Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)'
'Haiti'
'Normal Person'
'Keep The Car Running'
'Reflektor'
'Rebellion (Lies)'
'Here Comes The Night Time'
'Wake Up'

The band bring the tour to the UK in June, where they'll play two shows at London's Earls Court on June 6 and 7. They have also been announced as Friday night's headliner at Glastonbury, which takes place between June 25 and 29.

Arcade Fire were this week nominated for an Academy Award for their work on Spike Jonze's film 'Her'.
