Arcade Fire cover Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' – watch

The band have been playing regional covers during their 'Reflektor' tour

Arcade Fire have played a brief cover of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.

The band tackled the classic song during their set at the Gorge in George, Washington, near Seattle, in their long line of regional live cover versions. Click above to watch the Canadian band play the song during their rendition of their own track 'Rococo'.

It follows the band playing Dead Kennedys' 'California Über Alles' on stage in Santa Barbara, California, as well as Harold Faltermeyer's 'Axel F' – the theme from the movie Beverly Hills Cop – at the second of two shows at the Forum in Los Angeles – and a rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Hey Tonight' at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View.

Covers of songs by artists local to the city the band are playing in have been a fixture of Arcade Fire's tour in support of 2013 album 'Reflektor'. They've covered tracks by The Smiths, Echo And The Bunnymen and INXS among others.
