Architects have announced today (April 16) that guitarist Tim Hillier-Brook has left the band.

The Brighton metallers, who will release their fifth album 'Daybreaker' on May 28, announced on their official Facebook page Facebook.com/ArchitectsUK that the axeman had left.

Hillier-Brook, who has been in the band since they formed in 2004, will be replaced by Sylosis frontman Josh Middleton on a temporary basis. The band have said that no shows will be affected by his departure.

The band wrote in a statement: "Tim has decided that its time for him to step away from Architects and pursue other projects. We all appreciate the work and commitment he has shown to the band over the past few years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

They continued: "His final show will be Groezrock and no future shows will be affected by his departure. Our good friend Josh Middleton will be filling Tim’s vacancy on a temporary basis."

Architects are currently touring the UK with Rolo Tomassi and play Wolverhampton's Slade Rooms tonight. They are also booked to play a number of festivals, include Slam Dunk Festival, in the coming months.
