Arctic Monkeys and Maximo Park swapped places on the ShockWaves NME Awards Tour last night (February 7).

The gig at the Sheffield Octagon saw the Monkeys move from second on the bill to the headline slot for their hometown show, after agreeing with Maximo Park.

Opening with ’The View From The Afternoon’, their set also featured their two Number One singles ’I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ and ’When The Sun Goes Down’.

The band also teased fans by playing the introduction to their cover of Girl’s Aloud’s ’Love Machine, but then decided not to continue with the full song.

The ShockWaves NME Awards Tour continues tonight in Birmingham.
