Arctic Monkeys joined The Little Flames onstage at the Deltasonic Christmas Party in Liverpool last night (December 16).

Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Matt Helders and Nick O'Malley took to the stage to add extra vocals, guitar, drums and bass on the Scouse punk-popsters' final song 'Put Your Dukes Up John'.

"We're going to be joined now by our little cousins," Little Flames singer Eva Petersen told the stunned crowd at the Liverpool Academy. "This one will sound better with the Arctic Monkeys."

The shock appearance at the 2,000 capacity venue comes just days after the Sheffield band announced two massive dates at the Lancashire County Cricket Club, to take place in July next year.

The evening, a charity bash in aid of the Alder Hey Children's Hospital, also saw The Coral make their live comeback in their hometown, debuting tracks from their as-yet-untitled new album, scheduled for release next year.

The band played three new songs - 'Remember Me' , 'Who's Gonna Find Me?' and 'In The Rain' - alongside a rapturously-received greatest hits set.

Other support on the night came from labelmates Tigerpicks, The Suzukis and The Dead 60s, whilst up-and-coming street magician Dynamo - touted as Britain's answer to David Blaine - amazed punters and bands alike with his repertoire of tricks.

The Coral played:

'Spanish Main'
'Bill McCai'
'Simon Diamond'
'She Sings The Mourning'
'Pass It On'
'Remember Me'
'Dreaming Of You'
'Far From The Crowd'
'In The Morning'
'Who's Gonna Find Me?'
'In The Rain'
'Calenders & Clocks'
'I Remember When'
'Don't Think You're The First'
'Arabian Sands'
