Arctic Monkeys confirm Manchester supports

Arctic Monkeys have announced three of their favourite artists as the support for their summer shows at Lancashire Cricket Ground.

The sold out gigs on July 28 and 29 will also feature Supergrass, The Coral and Amy Winehouse.

The band said: “When we decided to do our own event, we wanted to play with people whose music we love and just make it a really fun day out for the fans. Supergrass, The Coral and Amy Winehouse are all amazing live acts and three of our favourite Artists.

“We’re really looking forward to playing together. It’s going to be two days of great music.”

The shows will follow the release of the second album entitled 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'[b] on April 23, plus the band's headlining performance at this year's [b]Glastonbury Festival, which takes place between June 22 and 24.
