Arctic Monkeys announce surprise support

Arctic Monkeys have surprised fans by annoucing a Japanese Beatles tribute band The Parrots will be joining them as their support when they play at Lancashire County Cricket Ground this summer.

Arctic Monkeys discovered The Parrots on a recent trip to Tokyo, enjoying the shows so much that they soon invited the band to fly over to the UK to join them at their forthcoming summer shows.

The sold out gigs are due to take place in Manchester on July 28-29 and will be joined by the likes of Supergrass, The Coral and Amy Winehouse.
