Supergrass debut new material at Arctic Monkeys Old Trafford show

Supergrass warmed up a euphoric Old Trafford for Arctic Monkeys, as the first of their historic Lancashire County Cricket Club approaches its climax today (July 28).

The Britpop veterans were the fourth and last of the day's support bands, with the Sheffield heroes set to take the stage shortly.

And they took the opportunity to debut two brand new songs, the opening 'Diamond Hoo Ha Man' and 'Rough Knuckles'.

The band have been recording a new album in Berlin with producer Nick Launay.

Otherwise the set comprised some of their greatest hits, with three songs taken from their 1995 debut 'I Should Coco'.

Supergrass played:

'Diamond Hoo Ha Man'
'Strange Ones'
'Richard III'
'Bad Blood'
'Moving'
'Grace'
'Rough Knuckles'
'Caught By The Fuzz'
'Sitting Up Straight'
'Sun Hits The Sky'
'Lenny'
'Pumping On Your Stereo'

Arctic Monkeys themselves take the stage next, promising a set full of surprises.
