Reverend And The Makers' leader, Jon ‘The Reverend’ McClure, has revealed that he and Alex Turner, frontman of Arctic Monkeys, are sharing a flat together in Sheffield.

Turner had previously lived with his parents in the city, choosing to shun the road many northern bands take after finding success then moving to London.

In an interview with BBC News, McClure explained that although he shared living space with the Arctic Monkeys man, he didn’t feel as close an affinity to his music as has been suggested.

“There ends the connection, apart from the fact me and Alex live together,” he said. "I feel more of an affinity with Manu Chao and modern day rebels, really. Ojos de Brujo, Ian Brown, 3D from Massive Attack, the Dixie Chicks. I feel more akin to those people than I do the Arctic Monkeys."
