Adam Cartwright was also full of praise for the track, he wrote: “Awesome song, they just keep evolving in new ways. I thought ‘Suck It And See’ was amazing, and now they’re following it with darker tracks. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next!” Mark Comer felt the same, he said: “Back to their very best on this”, while Sam Berry also liked it, simply writing: “Love it, tune.”

It wasn’t universal praise though, Andrea Modigliani hated it, writing: “Such an uninspired piece of music”, while Darren Owen loathed it, he wrote: “You’re not from New York City, you’re from Sheffield. Boring yank inspired rock by numbers bilge.” A number of users also compared the track to The Black Keys, who the band are about to support on tour across the USA and Canada.
