Arctic Monkeys have confirmed a series of US tour dates, suggesting they may have new material to play from their forthcoming fifth album.

The Sheffield band will play five gigs in America this June, taking in shows in Missoula, Boise, Denver, Albuquerque and Dallas as well as a performance at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in Washington.

Arctic Monkeys will play:

George, Washington, Sasquatch! Music Festival (May 24)
Missoula, Montana, Wilma Theatre (25)
Boise, Idaho, Knitting Factory (26)
Denver, Colorado, Ogden Theater (28)
Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sunshine Theater (29)
Dallas, Texas, House of Blues (31)

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys have a number of European tour dates lined up, including headline slots at Open'er in Poland and Spain's Benicassim.

Drummer Matt Helder's mum revealed last year that the band are working on the follow up to their 2011 album 'Suck It and See'. Responding to internet rumours that Arctic Monkeys are set to record their fifth album having chosen the studio, the drummer's mum, Jill Helders, tweeted: "I don't know if it helps to clear things up but lads are in the desert!"

She added: "And now we start on 5th album titles!".
