Arctic Monkeys will headline Roskilde festival in Denmark next year (2014).

The band will join Deerhunter, Haim, Pusha T, Trentmoller and Carcass on the bill for the event, which takes place between June 29 and July 6.

Roskilde 2013 was headlined by Metallica, Rihanna and Kraftwerk. Rihanna was booed on the second day of the festival (July 5) after she arrived 30 minutes late for her set. The pop star was jeered by punters for turning up onstage half-an-hour after her slot was scheduled to begin.

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys will play a host of European festival dates in 2014 with sets at T In The Park and Portugal's Optimus Alive festival already confirmed. The band will also play two huge outdoor shows in London's Finsbury Park on Friday May 23 and Saturday May 24, with support to come from Tame Impala, Miles Kane and Royal Blood.

The band will also tour the US in February, starting in Miami on January 30 and visiting 12 cities in total, ending in Minneapolis on February 14. Deerhunter will provide support for the New York and Boston dates.
