Arctic Monkeys, Beyoncé and Eminem among MTV VMA nominees

Arcade Fire, Iggy Azalea and Lorde also shortlisted for awards at August 24 ceremony

Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and Arcade Fire are among the nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards 2014.

Beyoncé leads the nominations overall with eight, including nods for her videos for 'Pretty Hurts' and 'Drunk In Love'. She will perform at the August 24 ceremony live at Inglewood, California's Forum and also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award too.

Elsewhere, Eminem and Iggy Azalea have seven nominations each while performers on the night will also include Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Arctic Monkeys are nominated in the category of 'Rock Video' for their 'Do I Wanna Know' video. Other nominees in the same category include The Black Keys, Lorde, Linkin Park and Imagine Dragons.
