Eddie Argos side project to release Christmas single
Art Brut lead singer teams up with Black Box Recorder
Apparently Art Brut lead singer Eddie Argos hasn’t been busy enough, releasing this year’s ‘It’s a Bit Complicated’ and touring with The Hold Steady on the current NME Rock’N’Roll Riot Tour.
He’s also found the time to team up with Black Box Recorder to form The Black Arts, whose first single, ‘Christmas Number One’ will attempt to live up to its title on the British charts once it’s released digitally on 3 December. Fantastic Plastic Records will put out the 7” version the following week.
According to a press release, the single, written by Black Box Recorder’s John Moore, features everything a good Christmas single should, including “sleigh bells, blazing guitars, and children’s choirs.”
