Art Brut go head to head with Satan in April

Band announce release date for new album

Art Brut have announced that their third album 'Art Brut Vs Satan' will be released on April 20.

The LP was recorded with Pixies frontman Frank Black, and will be preceded by the single 'Alcoholics Unanimous' on April 6.

"We recorded the album in a punk-as-fuck two weeks in Salem, Oregon," said singer Eddie Argos.

He added: "I don't always enjoy the recording process - all that fiddling with guitars and drum sounds waiting for my turn to 'sing'.

"This time though, we did it just right. We spent a day getting the sound of the instruments perfect, then with all of us in the same room at the same time, with the amazing Black Francis [Black] conducting us, we pressed record, jumped around and played our songs. This is how I always thought albums were made, and it's definitely how we're doing it from now on!"

As previously reported the band are touring in April, calling at:

Poole Mr Kyps (April 26)
Manchester Academy 3 (27)
Birmingham O2 Academy (28)
Newcastle Other Rooms (29)
Leeds Cockpit (May 1)
Glasgow Stereo (2)
Nottingham Rescue Rooms (4)
Bristol Thekla (5)
Brighton Concorde 2 (6)
London Electric Ballroom (7)

Wow, who's bothered about this band anymore? They were wank in the first place.

Darko 189, you couldn't be more wrong than if you proclaimed Morrissey was going to star in a series of adverts for Kentucky Fried Chicken Art Brut are one of best live bands in the whole blummin' world and Eddie Argos is the greatest frontman in pop. So there. ('It's a bit Complicated' was a teeny bit rubbish though.)

I'm guessing from your name, Darko, that you don't really like the upbeat, feel-good FUN that Art Brut is. For that reason, I don't give a fuck about what you say. And Scuzzboy, It's a bit Complicated was almost as good as bang bang rock n roll IMO.
