Art Brut get grand tour of DC Comics

Eddie Argos professes his love of Batman

Art Brut get grand tour of DC Comics

Art Brut went on an extensive tour of the DC Comics offices in New York earlier this week (June 2), as a result of writing the song 'DC Comics And Chocolate Milkshake'.

In the song, which features on their recent 'Art Brut vs. Satan' album, frontman Eddie Argos professes his love for the famed American comic book publisher.

The grand tour was chronicled in a photo diary by Undertheradarmag.com, which arranged for the tour after Argos wrote a column for them about his love of DC Comics.

"I have loved [DC Comics] since I was given a pile of Batman comics when I was 10," Argos said. "I was surprised that the characters were expressing political opinions and shocked that people were getting murdered. I'd enjoyed comics previously to reading Batman, but I think deep down I’d always thought comics were only for children and that I was going to have to give them up one day. Discovering Batman made me realise that perhaps comics were something I could take with me into adult life."

Argos explained that Batman was only the beginning, and he soon got hooked on other DC characters as well.

DC Comics is one of the largest and most popular American comic book companies, and produces material featuring well-known characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Justice League.
