Ash perform intimate New York show Ash Tickets

It’s a greatest hits gig

Ash performed their second New York show in a month at the Annex on the Lower East Side last night (October 5).

Opening with ‘Lose Control’, the band played a string of hits including ‘A Life Less Ordinary’, ‘Oh Yeah’, ‘Girl From Mars’ and an extended version of ‘Kung Fu’.

The intimate venue was stuffed to capacity for the free gig, which saw Ash take to the stage just after midnight and storm through an 11-song set including second outings for two new tracks ‘Roulette’ and ‘What is the Meaning?’

Before launching into final song ‘Burn Baby Burn’, Tim Wheeler said: "We’d love to stay and play for another hour but these are the only songs we’ve rehearsed."

The band are currently in the thick of recording their new album at their studio in Manhattan and plan to release the LP next year.
