Rapper helps subdue Los Angeles airport bomber
Asher Roth uses plastic ties to restrain suspect at LAX
Rapper Asher Roth reportedly helped detain a would-be bomber on a flight bound for Los Angeles' LAX airport today (January 7).
The Pennsylvania rapper was headed to Los Angeles to perform on late-night television show 'Last Call With Carson Daly' when a man threatened to explode a bomb on his plane.
The man was restrained by several passengers, including Asher, who held him back with plastic ties, reports Urb.
The suspect later attempted to leave the airplane out one of the side doors after it had landed, but was held back once again.
After the incident, Asher gave a statement to the FBI, who asked him to refrain from speaking about it for the time being.
