Athlete have revealed details of their forthcoming second album.
The London band, whose 2003 debut 'Vehicles & Animals' was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, have titled the follow-up 'Tourist'. It's pencilled in for a January 31 2005 release through Parlophone.
Songs confirmed for inclusion are the title track, 'Chances', 'Half Light', 'Trading Air', 'I Love', 'Street Map', 'Modern Mafia', '24 Hours' and 'Wires', which will be the first single.
The band have just finished mixing the album in New York, and will soon start rehearsing for live shows in the new year.
In a posting on their official website athlete.mu, drummer Steve Roberts said "we're feeling really happy, relieved, tired and proud of what we've done".
He added: "Life never seems to calm down at the moment but I think we can all safely say we wouldn't want it any other way. In fact I think we're all enjoying music and being in the band more than ever. So roll on next year."
