ATOMIC KITTEN STAR QUIZZED OVER PUNCH CLAIMS

ATOMIC KITTEN star JENNY FROST has been questioned by police over claims that she punched a woman photographer in the face.

According to UK tabloid The Daily Mirror, the singer - at Number One in the UK Singles chart with 'The Tide Is High' - allegedly hit Hazel Mall after a row at the opening of a new Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh.

Frost, 24, was immediately quizzed for half an hour before being allowed to leave with DJ boyfriend Dominic Thrupp.

The fracas began just after midnight as people left the star-studded party. Mall, 27, approached a police officer and claimed she was assaulted by Frost. The star denied it, insisting the Glasgow-based photographer was abusive and pushed her.

Police said: "We are investigating allegations of assault."

Frost was flying back to London last night after promoting the band's new album 'Feels So Good' in Dublin with band members Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon.

A spokesman said: "Jenny has given her statement to the police and has no more to say."
