FELINE LIKE A BREAK!

But the girl group admit they will be taking avery long break...

ATOMIC KITTEN have denied that they are to split, but have confirmed that they will be taking a break.

The decision was made after Natasha Hamilton, one-third of the girl group trio, said that she needed time out in order to spend more time with her one-and-a-half year-old son, Josh.

In a statement on the band's official's website, atomickitten.com, Hamilton said: "I've not really had a moment to be with him consistently and properly since he was born, having released two albums and six singles since 2002 and promoted them around the world."

She added: "I knew that the time would come when I'd need to take time out and luckily the band's in great shape following a brilliant autumn, and I have wonderful mates in Jen and Liz, at my management company and at Innocent Records who support me completely."

The other two members of Atomic Kitten, Jenny Frost and Liz McLarnon, are considering solo careers during the break.

The girls will be embarking on a UK tour next month before their sabbatical, kicking off at Plymouth Pavillions on February 18. The jaunt will then take in Manchester's MEN Arena, Glasgow's SECC and London's Wembley Arena before coming to a close at Hull Arena on March 11.
