Chris Cornell signs up for Bond theme
His band have put their new single online too
Audioslave singer Chris Cornell has been signed up to sing the theme tune to the new James Bond film.
The former Soundgarden frontman has co-written the track 'You Know My Name' with regular Bond composer David Arnold for the latest spy flick 'Casino Royale', which stars Daniel Craig, reports Reuters.
Cornell joins a long list of artists who have previously recorded songs for the Bond films over the years including Paul McCartney and Wings, Duran Duran and Madonna.
'Casino Royale' opens at cinemas on November 17.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Audioslave are due to release their third album 'Revelations' on September 4.
The first single to be lifted from the LP will be 'Original Fire', which is also available for download on the band's official website www.audioslave.com.
